Most people think that appetite is a proof of weakness, but it is not always true.

Sometimes we forget how amazing the human body is. Cravings are not a weakness - are important messages designed to assist you in maintaining a balance.

When you appetite, take a moment to examine. Ask yourself: what does my body need and why?

The following list illustrates 6 reasons of appetite.

1. Dehydration. Your body don’t tells you are thirsty until you are about to get dehydrated. Dehydration appears as a light hungry so the first thing you should do it when the appetite appear is to drink a glass of water.

2. Lack of accomplishment. When you are not satisfied with a relationship, or have an inadequate exercise routine when you are stressed, bored, unhappy at work, or you lack of spiritual practice, all can cause emotional desires.

3. Imbalance of yin / yang. Certain foods have more yin qualities (expansion) while other foods have more Yang qualities (building). For example, a diet too rich in sugar (yin) can cause a craving for meat (Yang). Too much raw food (yin) can cause appetite for cooked food and vice versa.

4. Season. Sometimes the body wants elements which balance the season food. Spring, people relish detoxification food such as green vegetables and citrus. In summer, cool foods such as fruit or ice cream, and in winter foods such as pumpkin, onion and walnuts. In winter many people relish foods that heat or hot, such as meat, oil and grease.

5. Lack of nutrients. If your body don’t has the right nutrients, will produce strange cravings. For example, inadequate levels of minerals will produce salt appetite, while a general inadequate nutrition will produce cravings for non-nutritional forms of energy like caffeine.

6. Hormone. When the body of a woman experiencing menstruation, pregnancy or menopause, fluctuating levels of estrogen and testosterone can cause strange cravings. Increased appetite for carbohydrates may be caused by low levels of serotonin.
